Ph.D. Student · XLII Cycle

Maria Creanza is a Ph.D. Student at the Computational Intelligence Laboratory (CILab), University of Bari Aldo Moro. Her research focuses on Trustworthy Artificial Intelligence for Digital Mental Health, with particular emphasis on continuous monitoring from heterogeneous physiological, behavioural, acoustic, and contextual data.

Her work investigates learning under limited labelled data and multimodal learning, exploring self-supervised, semi-supervised and transfer learning approaches, foundation models, and different strategies for integrating multiple data modalities.

A major focus is on Explainable and Trustworthy AI, including both post-hoc and inherently interpretable approaches and their human-centered evaluation, toward robust and transparent AI systems suitable for clinical adoption.
