Alberto G. Valerio is a Ph.D. Student at the Computational Intelligence Laboratory (CILab), University of Bari Aldo Moro. His research focuses on Artificial Intelligence for healthcare, with particular emphasis on medical imaging and Explainable Artificial Intelligence.
His work investigates deep-learning and graph-based methods for analysing biomedical data, including brain imaging and neurological diseases, together with methodologies for evaluating and interpreting model explanations.
A further direction concerns the integration of Large Language Models and structured biomedical information to support more interpretable and informative AI-assisted analysis.
