CILab took part in ICPR 2026, held in Lyon, with several scientific and community activities.
We first co-organized the inaugural edition of PRESTIGE — Pattern Recognition and Artificial Intelligence for Cultural Heritage, a workshop bringing together research on computer vision, pattern recognition and AI for cultural heritage.
During the conference, Giovanna Castellano served as Session Chair for Scene Analysis and Understanding. Pasquale De Marinis presented two research contributions: WeedDiffusion at the ICPR main conference and work from the VISTA project at the BRAIN workshop. At PRESTIGE, Nicola Fanelli presented research on Multimodal Large Language Models and Token Activation Maps.
During ICPR, Gennaro Vessio received an IAPR Distinction Award, together with Guillaume Caron, in recognition of their strategic leadership of IAPR Technical Committee 19 on Computer Vision for Cultural Heritage Applications.
